This project holds a special place in our hearts. After a devastating house fire destroyed everything, the homeowners walked away with only the clothes on their backs, and their two elderly dogs. With only the original foundation left intact, they came to us to rebuild not just a house, but a home that could help them heal and begin again.
While technically considered a remodel, this was a full custom rebuild from the ground up. The homeowners wanted to create a space that reflected their deep love for mid-century modern design, warm, timeless, and full of thoughtful details. Working with the existing foundation came with its challenges, especially where a previous addition had left the structure uneven. With careful planning and structural updates, we reconfigured the layout to better suit their lifestyle today.
The new space features gorgeous maple cabinetry, quartz countertops, light hardwood floors, and a dramatic floor-to-ceiling wood-paneled fireplace as a central anchor in the living space. The primary bathroom was completely reimagined to include a soaker tub and a double-entry walk-in shower, bringing comfort, functionality, and a quiet sense of luxury to the space.
